Team ENEOS Taken Out Early in Competition at 2026 Formula DRIFT Connecticut

Following a podium finish in Orlando, Team ENEOS was eager to push the winning momentum onward to Stafford Motor Speedway, a new track for the Formula DRIFT series. Fredric Aasbo’s third place finish at Round 3 was a great step forward following Atlanta, meanwhile Collete Davis is continuing to push for her first podium finish for the season and is tracking well to do so.

PROSPEC

Going into Round Two of the PROSPEC Championship, Davis (like every other competing driver) was excited to take on a new and exciting circuit. With a new 3.0L 2JZ engine built by RS Garage, the team used their practice day to dial in the chassis setup and sort out a fuel issue before competition.

Davis qualified P18 based on her standings to advance directly into the Top 32, where she took the win to move to the Top 16. There she faced Jason Webb, the South African who was a podium finisher in Atlanta, and although it was a close battle, after an extended deliberation by the judges, the win went to Webb.

“We left Stafford with more confidence than ever as we shift our focus to Indy,” Collete said. “We rounded out our weekend with an awesome meet/greet at the ENEOS booth along with our Team ENEOS teammate, Fredric Aasbo.”

Aasbo qualified P9 and opened the Top 32 with a win against Ryan Litteral before facing Ben Hobson in the Top 16. The Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra suffered a rare broken axle during their battle, ending The Norwegian Hammer’s run much earlier than the team had targeted.

“We had a strong car and were ready to keep fighting, so it’s disappointing to have the day end that way,” said Aasbo. “Mechanical issues are rare for us, but they can happen. The team works incredibly hard to give me a competitive car every round, and we still came away with points. Now the focus is on Indianapolis.”

Team ENEOS heads to Indianapolis Raceway Park for Midwest Mayhem from July 29 through August 1.
