Those who follow our partner Kyle Larson are by now aware of two things: 1) he got his start in Dirt racing, 2) he has not lost passion for his first love and seems to perform even better in the world of NASCAR when he can also keep his foot on the sprint car pedal.

One of many Larson XFINITY wins – March 2017 at Fontana

After an eventful and successful season last year (including seven NASCAR wins and 12 of 24 wins in dirt races), he is putting that second theory to the test by planning for a significant number of appearances on the dirt track in both World of Outlaws and other circuits, in addition to the Kyle Larson Outlaw Kart Showcase he’s been putting on for several years at the track where he started racing in Chico, California.

World of Outlaws Team Transition

Another change in Larson’s world of dirt is his transition to sole owner of his World of Outlaws team. Formerly co-owned with Justin Marks, Larson became sole owner under the Kyle Larson Racing moniker. With this reorganization, Larson will continue with Shane Stewart as the primary driver, but also jump into some races as a team driver.

KLR will be led by crew chief Lee Stauffer, and the remaining core crew will continue intact, but Larson has also added Paul Silva of Sacramento, CA, as General Manager. Larson and Silva previously worked together as driver and crew chief; last year, they won 8 of 16 events together, including a runner-up finish at the 5-Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals.
In other good news, all 88 events of the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car series will feature live streaming to the public (with a fee), so you don’t need to miss out on any of the action this season. But since the event itself passes through so many towns, it’s not hard to catch a race at the track, either. View the schedule and link below for details.

We at ENEOS are proud to continue our partnership and support with Kyle Larson, Shane Stewart, and their 2018 racing season. One of the transitions we’re experiencing together is an increased support of Larson’s dirt track endeavors. We’re pledged as a supporting partner for his dirt racing schedule, and we’ll be increasing our support for Stewart’s KLR WoO racing. We’ll be a supporting partner for the entire season, and take over the primary partnership during June and July.
