Team ENEOS Take Double Top 10 Finish at 2026 Netherlands MotoGP
Team ENEOS came determined to perform at the 26-lap Grand Prix of the Netherlands and Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins didn’t disappoint, securing P8 and P10 respectively at TT Circuit Assen.
El Diablo moved like lightning from P9 on the grid, overtaking two riders before the first corner to slot into P7, holding the position until lap three when three rivals managed to pass him. He held P10 steady for seven laps until two competitors ahead retired, allowing the Frenchman to move up to P8 on lap 15, which he held until crossing the finish line 19.039sec from the winner.
“It was a long and physically demanding race, but by maximizing our performance we can be happy with what we achieved,” Quartararo said. “I was suffering from arm pump the last ten laps since this is such a physical track but maintained the best position possible.”
Rins started from P15, making moves on the opening lap to shift up to P13. The Spaniard moved up briefly to P12 but after three riders retired, he was able to move up to P10, holding the position to the checkered flag, 20.302sec from first.
“Super tough and hot conditions for Assen,” said Rins. “I pushed to the max to keep my position.”
Following the Dutch GP, Quartararo moved up to P14 in the overall Championship standings with 45 points while Rins remained P19 with 18 points. Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP is tenth in the team standings with 63 points and Yamaha is fifth in the manufacturer standings with 59 points.
