Team ENEOS Struggles to Finish in the Top 18 at 2026 MotoGP USA

Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins struggled to make progress in the 20-lap Grand Prix of the United States Race, finishing P17 and P18 respectively for Team ENEOS and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP.

Starting from P16 on the grid, Quartararo held his position for the majority of the competition, climbing briefly to P15 after Ai Ogura had a technical issue on lap 15. El Diablo defended his position against Toprak Razgatlioglu until lap 18, where he lost a position to Jack Miller on the final lap, finishing P17, 27.136 from first.

I didn’t expect the tires to drop at the end,” the Frenchman said. “I was managing the tires but they still dropped during the last five laps.

Rins started from P21 but was unable to make up positions at Turn 1, settling into the back of the pack. He climbed a position on lap 5 but gave it up on lap 8, where it became a lonely ride. Rins took the checkered flag in P18, 38.701sec from the winner.

Electronics issues affected our bike during this race,” Rins explained. “It felt good in the beginning but on lap 8 it became too difficult to manage, and that was it.

Following the US GP, Quartararo is P17 in the Championship standings with six points, while Rins is 18th with three points. Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP is tenth in the team championship while Yamaha is fifth in the manufacturer standings with nine points.
