Rins Rallies to P13 for Team ENEOS at 2026 MotoGP Aragon

Álex Rins demonstrated his fighting spirit for his home fans at MotorLand Aragón, securing a P13 finish for Team ENEOS at the 2026 Michelin Grand Prix of Aragón. Teammate Fabio Quartararo had a challenging time, ending the contest in P18.

Rins started from P19 on the grid, making up two positions on the first two laps, and by lap six had moved up to P13. On lap 13, he overtook Luca Marini and began chasing Joan Mir down along with Brad Binder. On lap 19, Rins was behind Mir and tried to pile the pressure on but fell short from overtaking, finishing the race in P13, 28.276sec from first.

“I finished in a better position than expected considering we started from P19,” said Rins. “The pace wasn’t bad and I thought it was better than Mir but I couldn’t overtake him. Even when Binder overtook me, I kept trying but still couldn’t do more. We extracted the most out of our bike.”

El Diablo started from P17 but dropped to last place at the end of the first lap. He pushed his way back up the order to P16 by lap seven, but a mishap on lap 15 saw him drop back down to P19 with nearly a 10sec gap to the rider ahead. He came within 0.7sec of breaking P18 on the final laps but had to settle with the position at the checkered flag.

“It wasn’t a good or bad start, and I had some moments that set me back: sending me wide, losing time, going into the gravel,” Quartararo said. “Overall my lap was 15sec slower than normal, so I need to figure out what happened.”
