Team ENEOS Take Double Top 10 Finish at 2026 Dutch MotoGP

Team ENEOS pushed to their limit in the 26-lap Grand Prix of Hungary MotoGP Race, with Álex Rins riding from P20 on the grid to finish P13. Teammate Fabio Quartararo didn’t fare as well, retiring from the competition with four laps remaining.

Rins emerged P14 following a multi-rider pile-up in Turn 1 during the opening lap and overtook Quartararo on lap nine, circulating in P12 after Joan Mir crashed on lap 15. The Spaniard focused on rhythm and protecting his position but was overtaken by Fabio Di Giannantonio at the last minute, causing Rins to finish P13, 29.207sec from the winner.

“I had a great start but couldn’t do much except reduce my speed with the others around me,” said Rins. “It was a long race in general but I took steps forward.”

El Diablo started from P15 and moved as high up as P6 after the chaos of the multi-rider crash in Turn 1 but wasn’t able to successfully defend his position, dropping down the order gradually due to an issue with the rear. He was later given two separate long-lap penalties for taking short cuts and retired from the race after completing them.

“My position wasn’t bad after the Turn 1 incident, but I could feel something was wrong with the rear right away,” Quartararo said. “I tried but I was losing positions going wide and to the gravel a few times.”
