Quartararo Pushes for P14 Finish at 2026 MotoGP Spain

Team ENEOS engaged in battle for the 25-lap Grand Prix of Spain Race, where Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins finished P14 and P16 respectively in the Spanish sunshine.

El Diablo had a good start from P17, pushing hard the first half of the race and climbed as high as P12, but felt the pressure during the final ten laps from chasing rivals. The Frenchman kept Joan Mir at bay on the last laps to finish 29.532sec from first in P14.

I tried to ride differently to see if it would help, but the results didn’t work out in our favor,” said Quartararo.

Rins started from P21 and by lap 13 was in P14, however, chasing rivals were close on his tail when he experienced a tire drop, making the final third of the Race difficult for him. He took the checkered flag in P16, 32.921sec from the winner.

Our pace was better than I expected, but overall it was tough to fight when the rear tire dropped out,” Rins said. “Then when the front tire dropped it became too difficult to ride and lean like I wanted to.

The Spain GP results put Quartararo in 16th place in the Championship standings with 11 points; Rins is 19th with three points. Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP are in tenth position in the team standings with 14 points, and Yamaha is fifth in the manufacturer standings with 14 points.
