Quartararo Captures P6 Finish for Team ENEOS at 2026 MotoGP French GP

Fabio Quartararo had a superb start to the 27-lap 2026 Grand Prix of France, with fans cheering him on to a P6 finish at Le Mans. Teammate Alex Rins engaged in an all out war with multiple rivals to cross the finish line in P12.

Sporting a special Le Mans livery, El Diablo launched from P5 on the grid and climbed to P2 within a matter of a few corners, riding aggressively and defensively but had to let Pedro Acosta through at the end of lap 2. Four more rivals passed the Frenchman over the next eight laps, but with two riders crashing out on lap 16 and 20, Quartararo crossed the finish line in P6, 7.756sec from first.

“We were really smooth on braking, which made all the difference and allowed me to push 100-percent,” said Quartararo. “It was easy to overtake and I felt the limit better.”

It was the 150th premier class race for Rins, starting from P11 but fell back on the opening lap. As others crashed out, the Spaniard was in P17 by lap 3 and spent the remainder of the race battling several Yamaha MotoGP riders. Rins finished the race in P12, 32.343sec from the winner.

“It was a really tough race during the middle of the race, and I couldn’t engage the correct gear,” Rins said. “The issue resolved itself later but cost me some positions.”
