Kraus Wins in NASCAR K&N East race at South Boston to Lead the Series

The 17 year-old NASCAR Next driver, Derek Kraus, battled to take the win in his #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry. The result took him to the top of the series point standings.

Kraus won the season opening event of the K&N East Series at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway. He also finished in the top ten in Bristol, before earning his second win on Sunday in Virginia.

With a rain delay, Kraus was able to spend more time preparing for the race, meeting fans and signing autographs for those who patiently waited for the racing to continue.

Kraus is running a full season of K&N Pro Series West events and a select number of K&N East and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck series events. Kraus is fourth in the K&N West standings – just three points away from first place.
