Kraus Returns to NASCAR Truck Racing in Vegas

This week Derek Kraus prepares for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, where he’ll be competing in the World of Westgate 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday, September 13th, 2019. It’s the third of a four part truck series that he’s competing in this season using the Bill McAnally Racing #19 ENEOS Toyota Tundra.

“I’ve been looking forward to this race all summer,” said Kraus. “I’m anxious to compete with our ENEOS Toyota in this series, and I’m excited to race on a speedway the size of Las Vegas Motor Speedway.”

These truck series events are on off weekends from the standard NASCAR K&N Pro Series West races, where he’s currently leading the championship by 29 points with three wins, seven top-five and nine top-10 finishes in ten starts this season, his third full season competing for BMR in the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry. Additionally, he took two wins in the first eight races this year in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. He adds, “We’re working hard to finish the season strong and secure the championship.”

Friday’s race will be televised live on FOX Sports 1 and can be heard live on MRN radio. It’s going to be a big NASCAR weekend in Las Vegas; in addition to the truck series, NASCAR XFINITY Series takes place on Saturday with the South Point 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series on Sunday.
