Best Quote: “It (ENEOS) is the absolute best and I swear by it.”

Classification: Auto Enthusiast, Local Racing
Location: Memphis, TN
How long racing: 16 years

Racing Team: Team Knockout
When did you first start your racing team?
2015
How did you first become interested in racing cars?
“After I got my driver’s license”
Race circuit:
Auto Cross at Memphis International Raceway
What sets your team apart from others you see?
“Our team is closer than the other teams in Memphis. We have more people who know how to actually build their cars instead of buying them. We are really just a bunch of parents that get together once a week at our meet spot to get out of the house and have fun.”
Why do you race?
“Racing is so much fun. It’s a release of stress and anxiety of everyday life. When racing you don’t care if you win or lose, it’s pushing the car you built to see what it can do and what you can do with it.

On using ENEOS:

What specifically have you noticed about using ENEOS products?
“Better engine protection, no sludge build up, cleaner valves, better fuel economy, ticks and knocks go away, engine doesn’t consume oil (like with other brands). It’s the absolute best and I swear by it.”

We originally met Joshua McLeod on a social media post from another user who loves ENEOS products. We enjoy hearing from our fans. If you have a user story or are willing to be featured as an ENEOS user, email us or fill out the following user survey.

What cars have you owned and/or built?
“I have tinkered on my 1977 Toyota Hilux, 1986 Honda Civic, 1994 Toyoya Pickup, 1994 Toyota Corolla, 2003 Suzuki Aerio GS AWD, 2003 Honda Civic, 2006 Scion tC”
What have you learned while racing & what are your best memories?
“I learned a lot about how to work on cars from racing. Meeting new people and having fun with complete strangers who share the same interest. Showing off your ride and getting complements on it as well as complementing other people’s cars.

“When I was in high school I was very shy and didn’t really go out much. When the Fast and the Furious movie came out, it showed me a fun new world (and I felt) I could hang out and not be nervous. So I started to build my Civic. It was by no means a fast car. It was a Civic sedan with a 1.5 liter SOHC single barrel carburetor with 80 hp. But when I started to spruce up the suspension and race on the Auto Cross (circuit) I was able to keep up with the nicer, more powerful cars because I could take corners faster.
“This is why I love Auto Cross, it’s very challenging and you have to know how to take the apexes and racing lines. It was just fun to show up in (what is considered) a basic car and be able to compete, and it earned me and my car more respect as well as friends. This is my most fond memory and pivotal point in (learning how to race) and wanting to work on cars for a living. “

Thanks Joshua McLeod and team for your story, passion for racing and building race cars, and for being ENEOS People!
