ENEOS partner Steve Arpin made another trip to the podium at Round 2 in Louisville!

Steve Arpin is two for two at the podium this season of Global Rallycross (GRC).  Under the direction of Team Manager Carl Goodman, and with the continued support of Paul and Jon Leach, the team has found themselves on the podium, and a threat to the win in each of the first two events of the 2017 season.

In what was deemed the most exciting main event in series history, and also the closest margin of victory in series history, Arpin finished second by a mere 0.07 seconds (the thickness of a front bumper) in the main event.
CI6I1987The highlight of the team’s weekend was their special guest, Dakota Whitlatch, who has been one of Steve’s biggest fans since his days in NASCAR and was able to enjoy a ride along, where he shifted gears and pulled the handbrake himself, garnering the loudest cheer from the packed house while he was with the drivers during their introduction. Arpin’s team credits Dakota as a “true inspiration” and, even with the challenges he is facing, still remains as positive and optimistic as anyone could be even in the best of circumstances.

Congratulations to Steve for his 2nd podium, and current 3rd place season standings. We’ll look forward to seeing him again in the ENEOS 00 vehicle next weekend, Saturday, June 3rd @5pm EST for Round 3 in Thompson, CT.
