Gracie Trotter Earns Career-Best Runner-Up at ARCA Double-Header

2020 is shaping up to be a great rookie season for the ENEOS-sponsored Bill McAnally Racing driver Gracie Trotter. At the ARCA Menards Series West double-header this past weekend, she first drove the #99 ENEOS Toyota Camry to a fifth place finish at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA on August 7, 2020. However, it would be the following race where she completed her career-best runner-up finish at Douglas County Speedway – the leading driver of the three BMR rookies who finished in the top five.

ARCA EVERGREEN

Starting from eighth position on the grid in the ENEOS / NAPA AUTO PARTS 100 race, Trotter’s fifth place finish in the #99 ENEOS Toyota Camry marks her third top-five finish for the season, preserving her fourth place in the overall series championship standings. She earned a total of 39 points at Evergreen.

ARCA ROSEBURG

Trotter immediately went to Roseburg, OR the following day to compete in the second portion of the ARCA Menards Series West double-header, the ENEOS / NAPA AUTO PARTS 150 race. Starting fourth on the grid, she charged to second place early on and held firm despite numerous challenges with multiple restarts following cautions, but the tight ⅜-mile oval is the kind of track she excels at.

“We had a really good ENEOS Toyota Camry at Roseburg,” Trotter said. “It was a little tight, but the BMR crew gave me a great car that I could work with. I love these shorter bullring-type tracks; I always seem to figure them out.”

With the Roseburg runner-up finish, Trotter is third in the overall series standings and second in the rookie standings.

NEXT RACE

Trotter and the BMR team head to Dacono, CO for the ARCA Menards Series West event on August 22, 2020 at Colorado National Speedway.
