Gracie Trotter Becomes First Female to Win ARCA-Sanctioned Race!

ENEOS-sponsored Bill McAnally Racing driver Gracie Trotter is doing big things in her rookie season: making history by winning the General Tire 150 at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 26, 2020, becoming the first female winner of an ARCA Racing sanctioned event!

In only her eighth start in the ARCA Menards Series West, Trotter made a three-wide pass for the lead in the #99 ENEOS Toyota Camry, charging ahead to lead a 1-2-3 finish for the BMR rookie drivers. Giovanni Scelzi finished second in the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS / Curb Record Toyota Camry, followed by Jesse Love in the #19 NAPA Power Premium Plus Toyota Camry.

Starting ninth on the grid, she worked her way steadily to the front, making the dive for the lead on Lap 54, then lead 95 of the 150 laps. Although Trotterā€™s Camry drove tight earlier in the day, her team worked some magic to get it dialed-in perfectly.

ā€œOur ENEOS Toyota just took off for me,ā€ Trotter says. ā€œThey kept telling me to back it down, but I couldnā€™t go any slower no matter how backed down I was! It wasnā€™t tight or loose one bit; it flowed through the corners really well.ā€

Trotter remains third in the point standings, 30 points from first and 15 behind second. She has top-five finishes in all six short track events this season, and with this victory, tops the previous Second place best finish by a female driver in the 68-year history of ARCA Racing, which Trotter also matched earlier this season.

ā€œIā€™m at a loss for words: my first year in ARCA, out West, far from homeā€”this win really means a lot to me!ā€
