Colette Davis Makes Team ENEOS PROSPEC Debut at 2026 Formula DRIFT Atlanta, Aasbo Taken Out in Top 32 PRO Competition
Following a crazy opener of the Formula DRIFT PRO Championship on the Streets of Long Beach, the action shifted to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for Round 2, joined by the PROSPEC Championship that saw Collete Davis suit up for the first time for Team ENEOS alongside Fredric Aasbo.
With our first double header of the season, the UDSM (Universal Drift Scoring Method) telemetry and data system has automated the objective aspects of scoring individual PRO Championship qualifying runs for Line and Angle, helping to reduce the judges’ decision-making process and keep the competition coming.
PROSPEC drivers voted to retain the Seeding Bracket Qualification format because they appreciated the extra competitive track time afforded to the lower ranked drivers. The system operated flawlessly, with the UDSM telemetry able to assist the judges during the Seeding Bracket and Competition to help ensure the correct assessments were made despite the thick smoke that often obscured the cameras.

Davis arrived in Atlanta ready to rock, but Mother Nature had other plans in store, dominating the first practice session with rain, which was still valuable for the team to gather wet data for the future. Then, during the second lap of the next practice session, she experienced a mechanical failure when the factory oil pump exploded through the block, forcing the team to swap the engine in time for competition. Then, after three more practice laps on the main day, Colette ran into a clutch related issue, pushing just enough to force a “One More Time” battle during Top 32, a huge moment for the team. Unfortunately the abuse the E46 took and her inability to stick to the timing while chasing prevented her from advancing further.
“We’re leaving Atlanta with a ton of lessons learned, data collected, and plenty of motivation moving forward,” Davis said. “I’m incredibly proud of this time and thankful for all my supporters, including ENEOS, for playing a role in making this possible!”

Aasbo pulled up to his favorite FD circuit – Road Atlanta – carrying the momentum from his second place finish at the Long Beach round. But the pilot of the Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra was taken out of competition early after making contact with Rudy Hansen during their initiation into the first turn, Aasbo deemed at fault since Hansen slowed in an allowable zone. He later told the Norwegian Hammer that he’d missed a shift, leaving him short of his intended initiation point and speed.
“This one hurts,” Aasbo said. “It’s a tough way to end a weekend, but the car was strong and we’re focused on getting back on track in Orlando.”
Following Road Atlanta, Davis is aiming to put some Championship points on her tally for Round 2 of PROSPEC at Stafford Motor Speedway. Aasbo tumbled from second to ninth in the overall PRO standings.
