Bill McAnally Racing Making Summer Moves with Trotter and Kraus

The ENEOS-sponsored Bill McAnally Racing team is making moves once again as racing events are starting up around the country. This past weekend, they headed to Utah Motorsports Campus for the ARCA Menards Series West where Gracie Trotter represented in the #99 ENEOS Toyota Camry, while Derek Kraus headed to Pocono Raceway with the McAnally-Hilgemann Racing #19 NAPA AutoCare Toyota Tundra for the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.

At the 2.2-mile road course, Trotter drove her ENEOS Camry to a pair of seventh-place finishes in Saturday’s ENEOS Twin races, marking a return to action for the ARCA Menards Series West, and her first start since Phoenix in March.

Trotter started eleventh in the first race, advancing to seventh at the finish of the 66-mile event. She then started tenth in the second race and was able to duplicate her seventh place finish, continuing her successful debut season.

Meanwhile, at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, PA, Derek Kraus was the top rookie in a 40-truck field for the Pocono Organics 150 at the 2.5-mile track known as The Tricky Triangle. He finished tenth in the ENEOS-sponsored McAnally-Hilgemann Racing NAPA AutoCare Tundra.

Kraus started in thirteenth position due to owner points and a random draw, and was able to gain a couple of spots to finish 11th in Stage 1, despite several cautions in the early laps that prevented a long green-flag run.

A strategic call was made during the second stage to bring him into the pits for tires and fuel, and although he finished the stage in 19th, he was able to line up second on the restart after the leaders made their pit stops. Kraus lost positions when the green flag dropped after rear-end contact, but he settled in tenth and fought to stay there until the checkered flag.

“This track is definitely tough,” said Kraus. “I’d never driven here until we got on the race track. We were running the top ten a lot, and I’m happy with how the day ended in the NAPA AutoCare Tundra.”

Trotter is currently in fourth place with 114 points in the ARCA Menards Series West. Her next race is the ENEOS 125 presented by NAPA AUTO PARTS, July 4 at Irwindale Speedway.. Kraus is in 11th place in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoor Truck Series. His next race is the Buckle Up Your Truck 225, July 9 at Kentucky Speedway.
