Arpin Returns to ARX Podium at Circuit of the Americas

The Americas Rallycross race held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas on September 28, 2019 proved to be a winning track once again for ENEOS-sponsored Loenbro Motorsports driver Steve Arpin, who locked in a third place podium finish, allowing him to move up to fourth in the championship standings with one race remaining this season.

Campaigning his #00 RDO Equipment Ford Fiesta, Arpin showed great pace throughout the day despite penalties during qualifying that limited his intermediate points and had him line up on the second row of the semifinal with teammate Travis PeCoy. With three transfer spots available, Arpin crossed the line in third and took the final place on the grid for the six-lap main race.

Arpin kept his race clean against his competitors during the final, crossing the line fourth, but thanks to a five-second penalty against another driver, he was pushed up to third on the podium, his third podium finish of the season, giving him a total of four ARX podiums. These event results give Arpin a good position in the championship standings, where he’s currently sitting in fourth, only seven points from second place.

“I’m absolutely stoked to be back on the podium at Circuit of the Americas!” Arpin said. “Giving our partners the best results we can is what it’s all about, and to be able to do it back-to-back years here is phenomenal. The action was intense at COTA, and I can’t wait to end the season on a high note at Mid-Ohio!”
