Aasbo Wraps 2026 Formula DRIFT Season in P6 at Long Beach Finals

The Formula DRIFT season begins on the Streets of Long Beach but ends with the sunset at Shoreline Showdown. Team ENEOS ambassadors Fredric Aasbo and Papadakis Racing were already knocked out of title contention before the Final round but still came determined to give it their all, wrapping a year highlighted by three podium finishes for the Norwegian Hammer.

Adding those podium finishes to his successful FD career, Aasbo had his Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra dialed for the finals, qualifying P7 ahead of the Top 32. There he faced Federico Sceriffo, advancing past him to defeat Dan Burkett in the Top 16. But it was the eventual event winner James Deane who stopped Aasbo from progressing further in the Great 8, ending his season with a P6 finish in the overall standings.

“We showed several times this year that we have the car and the team to fight at the front,” Aasbo said. “There were some incredible highs, and there are things we know we can improve. That makes me more motivated for next season. I’m proud of this team and excited about what we can do together with ENEOS in 2027!”

“There’s a lot to be excited about,” said Stephan Papadakis, team owner. “Fredric continues to show that he can fight for wins, we have an incredibly strong group behind these cars, and we have an opportunity to bring a new driver into the program and help build the next chapter of this team. We’re already working toward 2027.”

ENEOS thanks Fredric Aasbo and Papadakis Racing for their relentless efforts this season, and look forward to helping the team achieve a Championship next year!
