Following a monster win by Fredric Aasbo at the opening round in Long Beach, Team ENEOS headed east to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for the second round of Formula DRIFT PRO competition. What started out with sunny skies during practice transformed into continuous downpour for the main event, creating wet and wild conditions that reduced speed but pushed drivers to perform at their absolute best.

It was rainy and slippery for Atlanta but we ended up on the box in Third place,” said Bakchis.

Thank you so much ENEOS for keeping the engine lubricated despite all the craziness, allowing it to rev to the moon.

Aasbo, The Norwegian Hammer, had to take down several tough opponents with the Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra on his way to the Final, including his Team ENEOS teammate, Bakchis, where he faced the four-time PRO Champion James Deane, battling him through two One More Time requests to see who’d come out on top. Aasbo’s skill driving on ice combined with Deane’s comfort in the rain made it tough for the judges to find flaws between these two drifting masters. Finally, after six runs, Deane was awarded the win. Aasbo’s Second place finish in Atlanta now has him tied with Deane in the overall Championship standings with 90 points.

Fantastic event here in Atlanta, my favorite course, where I went back to back to back with James Deane in the Final,” explained Aasbo. “It was a second place finish but the engine ran flawlessly thanks to ENEOS. Can’t wait to get back into the action in Orlando.
