Production Maintenance Technician

Location: Childersburg, AL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:   

Inspects and tests machinery and equipment routinely; as well as conducts safety inspections.

Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.

Troubleshoots a variety of industrial equipment using tools such as multi-meters. Also use visual, audio and vibration observations of machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.

Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

Repairs electrical apparatuses, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.

Repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots, relay logic circuits, drives, or programmable controllers.

Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.

Enters, tracks, and completes work orders in the Maintenance system

Performs Lock Out Tag Out when maintenance or repair is needed on equipment. 

Enters purchase requisitions in NAVISION and gets budget manager approval for supplies or parts as needed.

Tracks and keeps inventory on all parts/tools used in maintenance repairs and equipment purchases.

Assists management to contact and coordinate with vendors/contractors for supplies and large scope repair jobs.

Ensures safety policies and procedures (both in-house and regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job.

Maintains open line of communication between employees, management and executives by communicating with others as needed to coordinate activities of individual departments.

Recommends measures to improve maintenance area, safety, equipment performance, and quality of product.

Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency, safety, or quality of department.

Troubleshoots and resolves work problems and/or assists workers in solving work problems.

Leads 5S and Housekeeping in the lubricants area.

Participates in the non-conformance process and leads corrective actions activities according to approved procedures

Shipping and Receiving Associate

Location: Childersburg, AL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

 Shipping and Receiving operations includes but is not limited to:

  • Moving material utilizing equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, carts.
  • Fluid material transfers
  • Utilizing data input devices to report materials movements such as computer keyboard scan guns, or PLCs.
  • Utilizes ERP\MRP scheduling system documents to identify material to be moved such as a pick list, packing list, load notice, or other
  • Loads and unloads trailers, rail cars, or other.
  • Conducts inventory activities daily, monthly, quarterly, or as requested.

 Performs all work according to correct procedure.

 Verifies materials meet specifications by physically reviewing and or comparing information to a standard.

 Performs all work according to safety policies and procedures (both in-house and regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job.

 Maintains open line of communication between Team Lead, Peers, and management by communicating with others as needed to coordinate activities of individual departments.

 Attends training and meetings as scheduled.

Recommends measures to improve area operations, safety, equipment performance, and quality of product.

 Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency, safety, or quality of department or product.

 Assists to troubleshoot and resolve work problems.

 Conducts 5S and Housekeeping in the work area.

 Participates in the non-conformance process and assists to implement corrective action activities. 

 Supports other departments as requested (grease blending, lubricants blending, packaging, and Quality).
