However, with the wide spread usage of synthetic oil in today's market, synthetic oils as well as engine components are compatible with both synthetic and conventional motor oil. You can switch back and forth and even blend them without causing and damages.
With more than 120 years of experience in the oil industry, Nippon Oil, the manufacturer of ENEOS products are amongst the top oil companies in the world. When high-output cars with large engine displacements are driven for long periods at high temperatures and heavy loads, they demand the outstanding heat resistance and oxidation stability that only fully synthetic motor oils can provide. ENEOS motor oil is made from 100% synthetic oil, it has an ultra-wide 0W-50 viscosity range that ensures superb starting performance even at the coldest winter temperatures as well as excellent oil film retention in the hottest summer conditions.
Outstanding High-Temperature Oxidation
Made from a carefully engineered blend of 100% synthetic base oils and optimized additives, ENEOS 0W-50 provides high-temperature oxidation stability vastly superior to motor oils made from mineral base oils. ENEOS 0W-50 also has outstanding coking resistance, an essential property for protecting turbo rotors operated at high temperatures and speeds.
Superior Drive-Train Wear Resistance and Excellent Cleanliness
The synthetic base featured in ENEOS 0W-50 allows it to maintain a strong oil film even at high temperatures, speeds and loads. This anti-wear protection is particularly effective in the drive trains of overhead cam systems, where lubrication conditions are especially challenging. In addition, ENEOS 0W-50 delivers superb thermal and oxidation stability, so it maintains excellent engine cleanliness by suppressing sludge formation, which can cause engine seizures and pump clogging.
Reference your vehicle's owners manual for the recommended motor oil and select the matching viscosity grade from the ENEOS product line. Even if you do not find a corresponding ENEOS product to your recommended viscosity grade, you can still contact your local dealer or us directly for a recommendation best suited for your vehicle and usage.
Oil change intervals will depend on your driving habit and type of vehicle. If you do a lot of hard driving, city driving or low speed/low frequency driving, we recommend oil changes at 3000 miles interval. ENEOS motor oil can last a minimum of 10,000 miles, but due to engine containments and byproducts, we recommend a more frequent change interval for the optimal protection. Vehicles that are driven more lightly, or see majority of highway driving can go to intervals of 15,000 miles plus. We still do suggest a routine check up of the condition of the oil every 3000 to 5000 miles or so to ensure optimal protection.

This policy concerns Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) only. All other terms and conditions of sales, including acceptance requirements and credit terms applicable to the distributor or dealer agreements, remain in effect.
Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. has unilaterally adopted this policy for its sales to all distributors/dealers carrying the ENEOS product line. Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. will supply the ENEOS product line only to distributors or dealers who advertise, quote, or sell ENEOS products at a price at or above the minimum price as listed ENEOS product line MSRP price list (see attached).
1. This policy applies to all Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. sales of current and future products listed under the ENEOS product line.
2. This policy applies to price quotes (the price that a distributor/dealer quotes to a customer who inquires about ENEOS products in all situations, whether the inquiry or the quote was relayed orally, by telephone, fax, e-mail, or regular mail) you provide as part of doing business, advertised prices (the price that a dealer advertises for ENEOS product in distributor/dealer-initiated media messages and/or messages aimed at one or more people), and selling prices (the price that a customer pays a distributor/dealer for ENEOS products), as the terms defined within this paragraph.
3. Advertising, quoting, or selling ENEOS products at a price below the MSRP for those products will result in Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD.'s unilateral refusal to accept new orders for all ENEOS products and termination of your status as an ENEOS Authorized distributor/dealer.
4. ENEOS Products MSRP will be provided on a regular basis and may be revised without prior notice or consent. If and when the pricing is revised, the revisions will be provided in a timely manner and clearly dated to minimize any potential misunderstandings.
5. While the Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy clearly describes Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD.'s terms for doing business, distributors and dealers remain free to determine the manner in which they will advertise, quote, and sell all ENEOS products. Nothing in the Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy is to be construed as an agreement between Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. and any distributors/dealers on the actual advertised price or sale price of ENEOS products. Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. will not seek or accept any such agreement. However, to be eligible for uninterrupted supply of ENEOS products from Nippon Oil (U.S.A.), a distributor or dealer must promote and sell ENEOS products in a manner that is consistent with the letter and spirit of the Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy.
6. Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. is not asking or requiring its distributors/dealers to agree with any aspect of the Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy. Distributors and dealers remain free to determine if they wish to comply with the Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy. Only Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. can determine if a violation of this policy has occurred, and Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. will presume conduct that is not consistent with the Unilateral Minimum Price Agreement.
Effective January 1st, 2008
This policy applies to all transactions regarding ENEOS lubricant products offered for sale by Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD.
Experience demonstrates that most consumers purchase ENEOS motor oil after learning about the product and seeing it first hand. Based on this, each visit to your store or to a retail dealer's showroom is an opportunity that can be maximized through use of well informed salespersons to provide thorough pre sale and post sale support to consumers, including educating the consumer, service and follow-up care.
Nippon Oil believes that our continued growth and success depends on a stable distributor and dealers network that: (A) concentrates on making significant investments in marketing and educating dealers and consumers on the ENEOS product line; (B) concentrates on in store displays, marketing, and allowing consumers to see and test our products; employ trained and knowledgeable salespersons; (D) provide pre sale and post sale support to the dealers and consumers, including accurate and realistic explanation of features and benefits; and (E) fulfill their obligations under the ENEOS Authorized Distributor or Authorized Dealer agreement. Due to the investments in the forms of monetary and otherwise made by distributors and dealers, Nippon Oil has concluded that maintaining the MSRP on sales of ENEOS products is the best way to ensure continuous growth and success of the ENEOS product line, where it can offer distributors, retailers and customers an alternative in a heavily saturated automotive lubricant market that lacks a Japanese brand.
It is also our policy to avoid over representation of the product line within a given market area. This could cause damage to our reputation and our brand. Such practice would reduce the incentive for authorized distributors/dealers to devote resources to the stocking, displaying and promotion of ENEOS products. It is unilaterally our policy not to sell to any distributors or dealers who adopts distribution or sales methods which will adversely effect our sales and ability to compete. Therefore, our policy is that ENEOS Authorized Distributors/Dealers have the primary responsibility for marketing to consumers in their immediate trading area. Accordingly, it is Nippon Oil's unilateral policy to do business with, and supply ENEOS products to, Authorized Distributors/ Dealers who have made a significant investment in representative displays and use mail, fax, telephone or Internet as a supplemental method of quoting or sales shall only so long as those Authorized Distributors/Dealers conduct their business in a manner consistent with Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD.'s Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy.
Just as Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. recognizes the right of any Authorized Distributor/Dealer to cease doing business with Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. at any time with or without cause, we reserve the right to cease doing business with any Authorized Distributor/Dealer at any time with or without cause.
Generally our reasons for reviewing our relationship with any Authorized Dealer would be concerned with inadequate service to the end-consumers, such as:
- Not identifying our products by name with correct specifications in accordance with our Advertising Policy;
- Inadequately trained personnel;
- Insufficient or misleading promotion and advertising of ENEOS products;
- Denigration of the ENEOS brand;
- Failure to observe the terms of the Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. Authorized Dealer Policy or to provide service;
- Failure to market or sell ENEOS products in a manner that is consistent with the letter or spirit of Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD.'s Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy, or territorial agreement.
It is a statement of Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD.'s unilateral decision to do business only with distributors and retailers who promote and sell ENEOS products at or above a minimum Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price, the price a consumer actually pays, for all products in the ENEOS line.
If a distributor or dealer retails the product below the MSRP, that conduct would be inconsistent with the letter and spirit of the policy.
With this policy, Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. is announcing that it will no longer supply ENEOS products to distributors or dealers who promote or sell ENEOS product in a manner that is inconsistent with the letter or spirit of the policy. For example, if you sell the 0W-50 below the $11.49 listed MSRP, Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. will no longer sell any ENEOS product to you.
Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD.'s termination of supply will be indefinite.
The Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy for the MSRP will be put into effect January 1st, 2008.
Examples of conduct that is inconsistent with the letter and spirit of the policy includes any discount that would bring the net realized price paid to below the MSRP, including coupons, rebates, incentives, free shipping, free samples, etc.
You do NOT sign our Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy, this is a unilateral policy, meaning we announce it and you either decide to promote and sell ENEOS products in a manner that is consistent with the policy, or you do not. It is solely your decision to set the pricing of products you sell.

LTD. does not prohibit an Authorized Distributor/Dealer from stating on a web site that the Distributor/Dealer displays and offers for sale ENEOS products or presents a picture or description of the ENEOS products and the price of the product, subject to our Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy.

The Nippon Oil (U.S.A.) LTD. Unilateral Minimum Pricing Policy applies to internet promotion and sales, and Nippon Oil (U.S.A.)
