World of Dirt: In the Pits with ENEOS
Over the summer, our partners at Kyle Larson Racing created a series showing what it’s like to be part of a champion dirt race team. The three-part series shadowed Kyle Larson, his driver Shane Stewart, and their team behind the scenes and on the track.
Larson, who got his start in dirt racing, is now known as a championship caliber driver in NASCAR competing in both the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR XFINITY Series. He’s made no secret about his love of sprint racing, making a deal with his NASCAR team owner Chip Ganassi last season to bring home a win in Michigan if he could make an appearance at the World of Outlaws Knoxville Nationals. Most recently, although he has expressed his dedication and priority to a career in NASCAR, he tweeted a suggestion he would “race dirt full time by his 40s.”
What this means for Larson today is he owns a dirt racing team and occasionally races on dirt when his schedule allows.
